Ancient Syrians used pure pistachio oil to care for their hair and skin as well, and we consider it a basic element of Floran’s soaps. It contains important essential fatty acids (necessary for generating and maintaining cell membranes) and monounsaturated fats as well as antioxidants in great quantities, which bind to free radicals, and it also contains a balanced mix of mineral substances, such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, magnesium and manganese. Pistachio oil is rich in vitamins; it boosts immunity and works efficiently as an anti-inflammatory agent as well. It is one of the most complex vegetable oils and contains vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6 in great quantities.

The cream-colored, greasy substance called shea butter is squeezed from the nuts of the karité tree, which is a veritable blessing to the skin. In Western countries, its advantages in health and beauty care have been recognized for more than a decade, but the Africans have considered it a treasure for more than a thousand years. Shea butter is used for curing burns, treating wounds, scars, skin infections, psoriasis, dandruff and stretch marks, and it can also lessen wrinkles because it hydrates the skin and boosts cell renewal. Shea butter is rich in vitamin E, which protects the skin from damaging UV rays, harmful environmental effects and the ravages of free radicals as well; furthermore, it has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well.
